The time is finally here. After 8 seasons, 68 episodes, and seemingly endless amounts of weird internet fanfiction and theories, the end of Game of Thrones is finally upon us.
Like many other fans of the show, I will be following the below weekend binge schedule in order to experience the entire show one last time. I will be using this forum to record my thoughts, basic summaries, and just general observations/complaints (REALLY? Thats how you killed Ser-fucking-Barristan???) as I binge my way to April 14th.
At this point, I’m sure you have a few questions. So ill do my best to address them so we can get this shit underway
1)What makes you so special? Why would anyone care what you have to say about Game of Thrones?
Excellent question. I’ve been a fan of the series for years, and have read George RR Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire twice now. Although that was several years ago, and even with that I am still probably in the bottom tier of hardcore fans. BUT fuck you I think I’m interesting god damn it, and Im gonna write whatever I want.
2) What kind of content can we expect?
For every weekend going forward, I will post one entry, usually around Monday evening, that contains basically all of my thoughts from the episodes I am watching. This will also cover basic plot summaries, and I will try to inject all of the book and greater world knowledge I have into each post. Its gonna be a long haul folks, Ill keep trying to improve the format. By the time the show is back on I may actually produce something readable.
3) Yea that all seems great, but seriously why bother? there are like a million other podcasts and blogs by much better people than you
True, Joanna Robinson does an incredible job with her reviews and I am a huge fan of her work, but I really need a new hobby, and at least my mom will always read them.
